Project Wish is currently my major composition project. I developed a video release piece into a full theme, including a B section and a recap.
Marr Vellis is a central human city in the world of Wish. It's modeled after Venice, and is renown for its sophistication and strength. Like every major city, however, true human nature is shown as the sun goes down. This piece reflects a day, night, and morning in the city with a rounded binary form.
This mystery/adventure theme is based on the Project Wish Main theme.
Here is a mystery/adventure piece for the video game.
This piece is a somber depiction of a lonely night.
Drums, brass, driving rhythms, and a big chorale!
This adventure song comes straight from the PW main theme. It uses a lot of the same melodies and chord progressions, with some tempo, meter, voicing, and fragmented changes.
Another adventure theme for the game, this one is darker in order to give a nocturnal feel.
This collection of pieces was written for a courtyard in Project Wish. The 4th trio is a play on the PW Main Theme and the 5th is a play on the Marr Vellis theme.
This piece, as well as the following four, were written for a video game project that never really got off the ground. A temple is represented here.
I used sparse instrumentation and repetetive melodies here to capture the feeling of being trapped in a cave.
This is my personal favorite of the five video game pieces. I used folksy and chromatic harmonies to represent woodland.
A tragic hero is represented in this piece.
I used floating melodies and German styles in this piece.
